Welcome to the information page for candidates, who want to participate in the volunteering project "Weltöffner – Connect through Solidarity" within the European Solidarity Corps in the region of Tyrol in Austria.
We are looking for eight volunteers for seven different hosting organisation in Tyrol starting expectedly in September 2023 and lasting between ten to twelve months. lnfoEck is the lead organisation and has submitted this project to the Austrian National Agency of the European Solidarity Corps programme. As the project funding for "Weltöffner" is still pending for approval, the planned dates may change. However, we are optimistic, due to good experiences in the past.

ESK-Struktur in Tirol
In Tirol gibt es verschiedene Organisationen, die im Rahmen des Europäischen Solidaritätskorps (ESK) junge Menschen aus anderen Ländern als Freiwillige aufnehmen. Zwischen zehn und zwölf Monate arbeiten Freiwillige in Tirol dabei in jeweils einer Organisation mit und lernen viel Neues.
InfoEck (Verein Generationen und Gesellschaft) ist eine koordinierende Organisation im ESK. Wir kooperieren mit ESK-Aufnahmeorganistionen in den Bereichen Bildung, Kultur und Soziales in ganz Tirol. Weiter unten findest du mit welchen Aufnahmeorganisationen wir zuletzt zusammengearbeitet haben und wie es den Freiwilligen in Tirol erging.
Neben dem InfoEck koordinieren außerdem folgende Organisationen in Tirol ESK-Freiwillige:
komm!unity – Verein zur Förderung der Jugend-, Integrations- und Gemeinwesenarbeit in Wörgl,
POJAT – Dachverband Offene Jugendarbeit Tirol in Innsbruck,
CUBIC – Cultur & Bildung im Context in Innsbruck.
EuSC Structure in Tyrol
In Tyrol there are various organisations that coordinate and/or host young people from abroad within the frame of the European Solidarity Corps. The volunteering activities usually last between ten and twelve months. In this time the volunteers support their hosting organisation and learn new things at the same time.
InfoEck (Verein Generationen und Gesellschaft) is a lead/coordinating organisation. We cooperate with hosting organisations in the education, arts, and social sector in the region of Tyrol. Below you can find with which hosting organisations InfoEck recently cooperated and what experiences the volunteers from abroad had.
Besides InfoEck, the following organisations in Tyrol are active as coordinating organisations:
komm!unity – Verein zur Förderung der Jugend-, Integrations- und Gemeinwesenarbeit in Wörgl,
POJAT – Dachverband Offene Jugendarbeit Tirol in Innsbruck,
CUBIC – Cultur & Bildung im Context in Innsbruck.
ESK-MentorInnen in Tirol gesucht
Jedes Jahr kommen junge Freiwillige aus verschiedenen Ländern zu ihrem EU-geförderten Freiwilligendienst nach Tirol. Für diese Freiwilligen suchen wir immer wieder motivierte MentorInnen, die als erster sozialer Kontakt außerhalb der Aufnahmeorganisation zur Verfügung stehen und die Freiwilligen bei der Eingewöhnung in Tirol unterstützen. Wie sich die Beziehung genau gestaltet, ist ziemlich offen und kommt natürlich auch stark auf die Chemie an.
Die Freiwilligen leben je nach Einsatzstelle sechs bis elf Monate in Innsbruck, Telfs, St. Jodok, Stams, Hall oder Rum. Während ihres Einsatzes im Sozial-, Bildungs- oder Kulturbereich lernen sie Land, Sprache und Leute kennen und helfen circa 35 Wochenstunden in einer Organisation mit. Als MentorIn unterstütz du jeweils eine Freiwillige oder einen Freiwilligen bei dieser Erfahrung. Das heißt, du baust eine persönliche Beziehung auf, unternimmst gemeinsame Freizeitaktivitäten, ihr tauscht euch gegenseitig aus und lernt voneinander.
Die MentorInnen werden vom InfoEck vorbereitet und begleitet und haben darüber hinaus die Möglichkeit an internationalen Trainings teilzunehmen. Alle Details findest du im Mentoring Infoblatt.
*Für diese Aufgabe solltest du zumindest 20 Jahre alt sein.

ESK-Freiwillige 2022-2023/ EuSC volunteers 2022-2023
ESK-Freiwilligendienst in Tirol 2022-2023
Ab Herbst 2022 verbringen ca. 15 Freiwillige ihren ESK-geförderten Freiwilligeneinsatz in Tirol. Sieben der Freiwilligen werden vom InfoEck koordiniert. Diese Freiwilligen kommen aus Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Slowenien, Spanien und Ungarn. Vom InfoEck koordinierte Aufnahmeorganisationen in Tirol sind die Arche Tirol in St. Jodok am Brenner & Steinach in Tirol, Die Bäckerei – Kulturbackstube in Innsbruck, die Freie Montessorischule Stams, das Kulturlabor Stromboli in Hall in Tirol, der Schulgarten – Aktive Montessorischule in Telfs und das Soziale Kompetenzzentrum in Rum.
Die weiteren Freiwilligen werden von komm!unity – Verein zur Förderung der Jugend-, Integrations- und Gemeinwesenarbeit und von POJAT – Plattform Offene Jugendarbeit Tirol koordiniert und/ oder gehostet.
EuSC volunteering in Tyrol 2022-2023
Strating from autumn 2022, about 15 volunteers spend their EuSC-funded volunteer placement in Tyrol. Seven of the volunteers are coordinated by InfoEck. These volunteers come from France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Spain. Host organisations in Tyrol coordinated by InfoEck are the Arche Tirol in St. Jodok am Brenner & Steinach in Tyrol, Die Bäckerei – Kulturbackstube in Innsbruck,Freie Montessorischule Stams, Kulturlabor Stromobli in Hall in Tyrol,Schulgarten – Aktive Montessorischule in Telfs, and the Soziales Kompetenzzentrum in Rum.
The other volunteers are coordinated and/or hosted by komm!unity – Verein zur Förderung der Jugend-, Integrations- und Gemeinwesenarbeit, and POJAT – Dachverband Offene Jugendarbeit Tirol.

Talking Europe - ESK-Freiwillige machen Radio
Die ESK-Freiwilligen, die derzeit in Tirol ihren Freiwilligendienst machen, sind jeden zweiten Montag im Monat live on air auf FREIRAD – Freies Radio Innsbruck zu hören. In ihrer eigenen Radiosendung "Talking Europe" erzählen sie von ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen, dem ESK-Freiwilligendienst ganz allgemein und aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Themen.
Wann und Wo?
Die ESK-Freiwilligen sind jeden zweiten Montag um 14 Uhr live on air. Du kannst die Sendung direkt auf Freirad, im Livestream auf der Website von Freirad oder über die Freirad App anhören.

Talking Europe - EuSC Volunteers on Air
The current EuSC volunteers have their own radio show "Talking Europe". They are live on air every second monday once a month at Radio FREIRAD – Freies Radio Innsbruck and talk about their personal experiences with the EuSC volunteering service, the activities they are involved in and other interesting topics.

The radio show is live on air once a month on every second monday at 14:00. You can listen to the show on FREIRAD, listen to the livestream on the website of Radio FREIRAD or use the FREIRAD App.
